Boise Spring Bridals • Meridian LDS Temple

I was so grateful I had the opportunity to capture Caleb and Nina’s spring first look and bridals at the Meridian Temple! I remember seeing photos of the Meridian Temple for the first time and thought it was so beautiful. I always dreamed of doing at least one bridal session there and my dreams came true when Caleb and Nina got engaged! I actually got to document their proposal as well which was beyond special. My husband has 3 brother and Caleb is the youngest of those 3 so I’ve bonded with Caleb for over 10 years now!

When Caleb showed me the ring back in January and told me he wanted to wait for another month to propose, I was kind of shocked. But then he moved up his proposal date a few weeks and I got to watch the whole thing and document it! Proposals are still some of my all time favorite things to capture!

Caleb showed up at the temple in a blind fold for their bridal session and first look. It was so cute seeing both of them so twitter pated, especially Caleb before seeing his future bride! Their first look was full of giggles, hugs, kisses, and lots of taking-it-all-in stares.

Nina’s dress was stunning! I loved the long train and veils have always had my heart! It’s fun getting creative with veils shots and I had a field day with all the blossoms and colors Boise had while back in Idaho Falls everything was still bland.

Being a Grand Tetons photographer I sometimes feel out of my element when I’m not in the mountains, but this bridal session was everything I needed to kick off my busy wedding season. Thank you Caleb and Nina for trusting me!

Grand Tetons Summer Proposal

This summer proposal is what dreams are made of! I have shot over 30 proposals now in the Grand Tetons and I feel like I’ve gotten it down to the perfect system. So when Henry reached out looking for ideas and how to make sure it was documented and stress-free, (as stress free as proposing to the love of your life can be), I had his back!

Henry and Kira were coming from Australia to the US to travel for a month to visit National Parks. I loved Henry’s idea of proposing near Jackson Hole in the Grand Tetons so we FaceTimed about a week before they headed to the US to line out all the details. Henry mentioned how he and Kira were adventurous and truly loved having fun together. He was pretty certain that Kira would have no idea what was coming, and boy was he right! Kira was in complete shock and so excited that a “stranger” was taking photos of the beautiful moment. The weather ended up being just the right amount of cloudy after another hectic week of weather.

One of my favorite moments to capture as a Grand Tetons proposal photographer is the hug after the moment. There’s pure joy on both faces from such an exciting moment. Honestly I get a bit of a rush from it myself because I’m genuinely so excited for my couples! I’m so grateful Henry trusted me with documenting his epic proposal to Kira. It was a beautiful day with a mix of sunshine and overcast, which just so happens to be my favorite to shoot in.

Private Vows in Grand Teton National Park

It was a beautiful August day for an elopement. While the weather was a little crazy the rest of this month, Tarren and Ethan really did luck out for their day.

Terran and Ethan came all the way from Kansas to exchange vows in Grand Teton National Park. They had an Airbnb just outside of Jackson, and when they went to write their vows, they could not find a single piece of paper. They ended up pouring their souls on A Grand Teton National Park map. I’m sure it was probably a little tedious to write and even read their vows in between all the text on the map, I loved how sentimental this was and all the meaning it held because I truly love this park so much.

Tarren and Ethan exchanged their vows at Cascade Canyon which happens to be one of my favorite views. We ended our location with a beautiful sunset on the Grand Teton. All the colors from that night were unreal. Honestly some of the best light I’d seen up there this year.

Tarren and Ethan both seemed ecstatic to be alone in the mountains together. They were easy going and ready for anything. This was also their first time in the park! I was so glad I got to be in charge of locations and finding the best spots to really show off the beauty here. I’m obsessed with the details on Terran’s dress and the way it flowed when they walked together. Enjoy these stunning images of a dashing and down to earth couple.
