Annual Foster Care Awareness Mini Sessions • Idaho Falls

****COMPLETELY BOOKED! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SUPPORTING LOCAL KIDS IN FOSTER CARE!!!****

If you haven’t guessed by now, I’m very passionate about foster care. Ever since we got involved my heart felt the need to serve in different ways to the foster care community. In 2020 I came up with an idea to do a photo-donation swap and it was AMAZING! All my mini sessions completely booked out both times!

Basically, foster parents and families get a call any time of day asking if they’re able to take a child who has entered the foster care system. If they say yes, foster families scramble to find ways to prepare for that child who may be in their home in an hour or a few days! That’s where the Blackfoot closet “The Village” comes in. Foster families can go pick out things that are needed for their foster kids. This can be gently used clothes, school supplies, diapers and wipes, baby supplies, toys, etc. All these donation go straight to the foster families and the kids who need them!

So I’ve decided to do something to help out. I’m doing a donation photo swap! Here’s how it works.

Bring a bag (or 2) of donations for the foster closet. Some ideas of donations are:
•New or gently used clothes newborn-18 years old
•Diapers
•Wipes
•School supplies (crayons, pencils, notebooks, lunch boxes etc.)
•Hygiene items or kits
•Toys! Used or new
•Baby items (strollers, cribs, diaper bags etc.)
Below is a list of all items accepted by The Village.

I’ll have my truck and we can put any items you want to donate in the back and I will take the items to the Foster closet in Blackfoot. In exchange you’ll get a 15 minutes session with at least 10 high resolution images and a print release! The sessions will be taking place in Idaho Falls. It’s a donation and photo swap! Sessions can be couples, portraits or families up to 6 people! These sessions are extremely limited at this time since my spring is already crazy but foster care is near and dear to my heart and this is one of the ways I love to serve and donate! Fill out this contact form with your preferred time and I’ll get you scheduled!

Grand Tetons Elopement

Elopement and Vow Exchange in the Grand Tetons

I will not forget this amazing elopement! I loved EVERYTHING about it. Seth and Emme have been together for over 6 years and met in an untraditional way. Seth is a videographer, and yes, I was extremely nervous shooting for another creative. Anyways, he’s a videographer and he needed a model for a commercial he was shooting for school and he and his friends asked random girls on campus to be a part of the commercial. Emme said yes and Seth asked her on a date after shooting the commercial and the rest is history!

One of my favorite things about Emme and Seth was how relaxed and truly happy they were. I felt like I was hanging out with two friends honestly! When Seth and Emme met me in Grand Teton National Park they still had to get dressed. It was kind of fun being able to get a few getting ready shots. Because elopements and vow exchanges are short, getting ready photos don’t usually make it to the must haves. So I loved getting photos of Emme fixing Seth’s hair and Seth commenting how pretty Emme looked after she put her wedding dress on.

Seth and Emme told me their vision for their elopement and vow exchanges so we decided to do a few bridal photos first so we could end with their vows at Schwabacher’s Landing. We started near Cascade Canyon which is such a gorgeous view! I love the mix of sun and cloud coverage we had during the evening. Cloudy weather happens to be my jam!

Vow Exchange

We decided to head to Schwabacher’s Landing after getting a variety of formal shots. Once we got to Schwabacher’s Landing it was so busy! We quickly changed the plan (since the sun was going down), to doing vows right off the side of the road. Even though their vows weren’t happening exactly how they envisioned, Seth and Emme still rolled with the punches and were giddy to be together in the Grand Tetons. They even celebrated with a little picnic with cake and champagne and it was truly the best ending to the night. I am still so happy for these two and grateful I was able to be a part of their celebration.

Snowy Mountains Engagements • Alpine and Pinedale, Wyoming

I had never shot in the area before and I’m so glad Alex and Christian introduced me to it! It was a blast to shoot someone else besides the Grand Tetons and Jackson! Funny enough, Christian and Alex both work in Jackson!

These photos were actually taken in between Alpine and Pinedale in a small town called Bondurant, Wyoming. Can we just give this small town some credit here? I couldn’t believe these locations were all within just 5 minutes of each other and each had such unique views. One with the river beautiful rocks, another with snow covered pine trees, and our last with some cool red rock and river view!

Alex and Christian actually eloped a month before these photos! They were planning their wedding for June 2023, but majority of their family was in town during Alex’s favorite season of Fall. They decided to elope with their family and still do a celebration in June of 2023. Call me crazy, but I love seeing couples eloping more! It puts the focus on the thing that matters most: The COUPLE! I’m excited to still party next year in Wyoming with these two during their wedding celebration and reception.

Alex mentioned wanting a cozy photos for their engagements, and the snow and weather came out just in time! We still had some left over fall colors as well!

Enjoy these gorgeous images we took in 38º but it actually felt amazing!
